Dubz Commissions: Price Guide
Below is a guide to pricing. All amounts you see are base prices, and are prone to fluctuating upwards, depending on the complexity of characters or requests. Most commissions usually fall at a simple base price, but after the form is filled out, I'll have a chance to work out finer details via email. The invoice amount is final , and once paid, work commences.

Before you get started, here's a quick overview of terms you'll see a lot and what I mean when I state them.
Before you get started, here's a quick overview of terms you'll see a lot and what I mean when I state them.
- Character: While self explanatory, this usually entails being able to see the subject's full body on the page. However, this can be wavered by cutting the feet/ lower legs below the knee off the page. Usually I'll compensate with extra details, as usually this is done for extreme closeups or more complex interactions with other page elements.
- Prop Pieces: This entails not drawing a full background, but having an item for a character to interact with, such as a chair or chest of drawers.
- Full BG: The works. A background and interactive elements.
Line art:
Single character Line art starts at $40 Extra characters charged $30 each Background - $15+ for prop pieces, $25+ for full BG All Line art comes with optional shading choices, including cross hatching, grey cel shading or block black. Example price for Line art shown = $95 (smaller characters count as background elements). |
Coloured:
Single character Coloured starts at $80 Extra characters charged $70 each Background - $20+ for prop pieces, $50+ for full BG There is a special discount of 25% off the final price (once calculated) if you prefer to forego shading and leave the image as flat colours. Example price for art shown = $200 (smaller characters count as background elements). |

Other Information:
Rush Jobs:
I reserve the right to charge 25% extra on the total price if the art is required within the week. I will not accept commissions that require less than 3 days to complete from the date you inquired via email. Please state if there is a date you require the commission to be completed by. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure emails both work and are checked, since the artist is not responsible for late work if the email is faulty or not checked. Be sure to label your commission email with ‘URGENT’ if requesting a rush job, and I will prioritize it.
Additional Artists/ Collaborations:
These services are usually negotiated between artists as to the final payment based on the work involved. Once both artists are paid, it is again the client’s responsibility to keep check on the progress by contacting the artist who is working on the piece at the time.
Working from unclear references:
I reserve the right to charge extra for working from written descriptions of appearance and/or unclear reference sheets. If you as a client are okay with a little artistic freedom, then I will be happy to not take this into account providing the characters are not too complex. As always, email me and we'll discuss it from there.
